The 2007 Central Illinois Blues Challenge

Kim Massie Winner of the 2007 Central Illinois Blues Challenge held at the scenic Mackinaw Valley Winery was St. Louis' blues diva Kim Massie.

The 2007 Central Illinois Blues Challenge had 8 blues bands competing to be the Blues Blowtorch Society’s representative in the International Blues Challenge in 2008!

The runner up - Melvin Taylor - is also going to the IBC in Memphis, courtesy of the River City Blues Society!

This event was held along with the 1st Annual Central Illinois Wine Festival. Paul and Diane of the Mackinaw Valley Winery provided a great venue for the wine festival and the 2007 Central Illinois Blues Challenge!

Thanks goes out to the Blues Blowtorch Society for hosting this event, which sends two deserving artists to Memphis in 2008. Additional thanks to Delta Frank and WGLT radio, for keeping the Blues alive in Central Illinois!
