Great news! The 2006 season of Blues on the Mississippi will be divided into a Spring and Fall Season! This will allow us to avoid the heat of the mid summer months and enjoy cooler temperatures.

Here is the Spring Schedule:

June 2 Billy Peek

Don’t miss the annual season opener with St. Louis’ favorite blues-rock musician. Arrive early as this is always a big draw.

June 9 Soulard Blues Band

The perennial winner of almost every music poll in St. Louis, the Soulard Blues Band are always a hit.. Art Dwyer and the band will be sure to please.

June 16 Kenny “Blues Boss Wayne” and the Rich McDonough Band

Last year Kenny “Blues Boss” Wayne was a real hit at our Boogie Woogie Blues Night and we decide to bring him back for a show all of his own! He is one of the best keyboard players on tour today, bar none! Combine this with the Rich McDonnough Band and you have a night to remember.

June 23 Marcell Strong & the Apostles

Marcell is one of St. Louis’ true treasures. For over 40 years he has been belting out R & B music to the delight of generations of St. Louisian’s. Marcell makes his triumph return to Blues on the Mississippi after a 5 year absence.

For those of you wondering about Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, they will kick off the fall season on Friday, September 8! The remainder of the fall season will be announced soon.
