original music by except for “God Give Me
Strength” which Elvis Costello/Burt Bacharach
wrote. There is a heavy Carlos Santana influence
in some of the licks. Super instrumentals but the
lyrics try to tell too much of a story and so the
cuts get a little lengthy.
The talented band consists of Steve Potts
on Drums, David Smith on Bass,
and Ernest Williamson on Keys.
Also on this CD are guests Jack Bruce
(Cream), Glen Hughes (Deep Purple),
Alex Ligertwood (Santana) and Elliot
Murphy, Devon Allman,
Reese Wynans (SRV”s Double Trouble)
All
in all a very good CD and it gets a 4.2 on the STLBluesometer.
