  Robert Cray played the Pageant!

Robert Cray  Robert Cray is a five-time Grammy Award winning artist long acclaimed for his prowess in the idioms of blues and Southern soul. Robert obviously enjoyed the enthusiastic crowd on hand, sharing "you guys ought to be like Grateful Dead fans and follow us around the country". A mix of old classics like 'Strong Persuader', 'Our Last Time', and 'Smoking Gun' were interspersed among his newer material off his latest CD, 'Time will tell. Opening for Robert was John Hiatt and the Goners, joined by blues guitar legend Sonny Landreth. The Goners played with intensity, with Sonny delivering his special brand of slide guitar. A slow, smooth version of "feels like rain" showcased John Hiatt's vocal ability at its best. Another fine show at the Pageant! Hope you were there, it not here's a quick look
