The Songs:

2. Mean Ole Frisco (3:46) - kind of a country shuffle.

3. Blues Got Me Again
(4:25) - a slow electric blues song.

4. Bedside Of A Neighbor (2:22) - a combination of delta and gospel.

5. When It Rains It Pours (4:18) - dominant piano bass, slow masterful harp blowin'.

6. Lotsa Poppa (3:16) - this is more a rockabilly tune.

7. Movin' And Groovin' (5:46) - another rockabilly song with a great long harmonica intro and mighty fine upright bass playin'.

8. .38 Special (8:26) - eight minutes of harmonica bliss, down and dirty bluesy vocals, could you ask for more???

9. Mama Long Legs (5:32) - big band swing feel to it with the horn accompaniment.

10. The Blues Overtook Me (4:41) - Chicago electric blues with a harmonica solo that wails.

11. My Road Lies In Darkness (2:42) - Musselwhites own version of Delta blues, he's playing acoustic on this song.

12. If I Should Have Bad Luck (4:48) - a true blue piano blues tune with deep soulful vocals and harmonica solo. Now this is what I'm talking bout' - just the way STLBlues likes it.

13. Make My Getaway (3:44) - wow, this song is fast.

14. Newport News Blues (4:01) - what a treat to hear Will Shade talking to the teenage Charlie.

This CD is absolutely outstanding and easily one of the best blues CD's we've ever heard. Rating 4.447.
