Inner Flame - LIVE! At Victory Christian Center Inner Flame - LIVE! At Victory Christian Center (Rolla, Missouri)
{2005 | Inner Flame & KBH Productions}

Hailing from central Missouri, Inner Flame is a hybrid mix of 70's era hard rock, southern rock, and Texas blues. Their mission is not to preach, but to reach.

Wayne Bates – Guitar & Vocals; Christy Bates – Vocals; Tim Clouse – Bass; Stef Clouse – Percussion; Nick Burchett – Guitar & Vocals and Chris Clemens – Drums.

The worship filled tracks are:

1. Never Go Back Again – from the beginning I liked the strong bass.

2. Getcha Praise On – more of a classic rock tune.

3. I Give Everything – man, the vocals are right on and sound sweet to my ears.

4. Every Step Of The Way – this would be Inner Flames version of blues served up Texas style.

5. The Bottom Line – vocally, musically just a dynamite song, I really liked it a lot.

6. I Know Who I Believe In – a slower song with lots of bass and bits of blues guitar.

7. Potion – bluesy nice and easy rockin’-blues.

8. Testify – this song was borrowed from the Chris Shepherd Band. It’s a southern-rock y’all.
9. Where Would I Run – a rock song, kinda reminded me of Heart.

10. Take It To Jesus – on the recording Tim’s bass is dominant, that’s OK with me. I like the bass.

11. Used To Have The Blues – this implies you have to be blue to have the blues, it’s a slow blues tune.

12. Roll Away The Stone – not blues, not rock… I dunno’ but it’s just a good song, kinda mellow in a Pink Floyd way.

13. Doin’ Alright – is a fairly fast paced tune.

14. I Will Celebrate – this is a go to church and get your blood rushing song.

15. Spirit In The Sky – this is such a great song originally by Norman Greenbaum in 1970. I dig it more each time I hear it.

While the sound quality of this live recording is only fair the music is great. This is feel good music, done well. I liked it. I look forward to their next CD and getting the chance to catch a live show. For the latest information on Inner Flame visit their site: www.innerflameonline.com
