Mitch Kashmar (featuring Junior Watson) – Nickels & DimesMitch Kashmar (featuring Junior Watson) – Nickels & Dimes
{2005 | Delta Groove}

The name Mitch Kashmar is well known on the West Coast; he has been around for a couple decades blowin' his harp and singing the blues. Though I have never seen him in person, he is definitely one of my favorite harp players (yes, I do like those harmonica boys!) Unfortunately for me and all of the Mid-West, South & East, Mitch doesn't tour much outside of the California bay area.

Check out this album and you are guaranteed one terrific trip to harmonica paradise with some mighty fine musicians along for the ride!

MusicansMusicans:
Mitch Kashmar - vocals & harmonica
Jr. Watson - guitar
Ronnie James Weber - upright & Fender bass
Richard Innes - drums
Bob Welsh - piano / guitar on "Runnin' Off At The Mouth"

Special Guest Artists:
Arthur Adams - guitar & vocals on "Knock 'em Dead"
Abu Talib - guitar& vocals on Lizzy Mae

Track Listing:

1. Dirty Deal - with lyrics like "grab a big stick and scrape ya off my shoe" this one is a pleaser!

2. Nickels & Dimes - totally infectious tune; listen to this tune once and you will be humming it all day!

3. New York Woman - sad blues about a woman that stole someone's heart.

4. Just Show It To Me - jumpin' swingin' diggin' it all the way!

5. Lizzy Mae
(w/ Abu Talib) - great vocals from Abu; slow bluesy track about a first love.

6. Getting' Drunk
- a surprising upbeat tune about drinking yourself silly due to love gone bad!

7. Becky Ann - great song about Mitch's fiancé (I am assuming).

8. Knock 'Em Dead (w/ Arthur Adams) - Swingin' tune about being yourself.

9. I Don't Play - familiar rumba shuffle tune.

10. Whiskey Drinkin' Woman - typical slower tune about a drinkin' blues woman.

11. We're Sittin' Home Tonight - jump boogie about chillin' w/ your loved one.

12. Who-classic Little Walter; my favorite track on the disc!

13. Runnin' Off at the Mouth - mind blowin' harmonica instrumental; my second favorite on the album.

*This album was also produced by Randy Chorikoff who also produced the latest Rod Piazza album/DVD set. Learn more about Mitch at this website, and scroll to the bottom for more information about him!!! It’s another winner and one I’d recommend to all by cyber friends.
